We want your stay at Ruff Resort at Victoria House to be easy, comfortable, and memorable. The following policies help us care for our historic property, respect our neighbors and fellow guests, and provide the best experience possible for everyone.

 

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

Check-In: 3:00 PM
Check-Out: 11:00 AM
 

Ruff Resort at Victoria House currently offers contactless self-check-in. Arrival and access instructions will be provided to guests before their stay.
 

RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation policies may vary depending on how your reservation was booked. Please refer to your reservation confirmation and the cancellation terms presented at the time of booking.
 

Direct Reservations

For reservations booked directly through Ruff Resort at Victoria House:

100% of the full stay will be charged if cancelled within 14 days of arrival.

Reservations cancelled outside of the applicable cancellation period will be subject to the terms provided with your reservation.
 

There are no refunds for early departure.
 

Third-Party Reservations

Reservations made through online travel agencies, travel agents, or other third-party booking platforms are subject to the cancellation and payment policies provided by that booking provider.
 

For the most favorable rates and booking terms, we encourage guests to book directly with Ruff Resort at Victoria House.
 

No-Shows

Guests who do not arrive for their reservation without cancelling in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy will be responsible for the full amount of the reservation.
 

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip investment against unexpected circumstances, including illness, travel disruptions, and weather-related delays or cancellations.
 

PAYMENT

A valid credit card is required to make a reservation. We accept major credit cards.

Your reservation confirmation will outline the applicable payment schedule, deposit requirements, and cancellation terms for your booking.
 

OCCUPANCY

Maximum occupancy varies by accommodation. Please refer to the individual room page for the maximum occupancy and sleeping arrangements of your selected accommodation.
 

Additional or unregistered guests may not stay in an accommodation without prior approval.
 

If you are traveling with a larger group, please contact us about our adjoining accommodations and group options.
 

HOTEL TAKEOVERS & EVENTS

Ruff Resort at Victoria House offers Hotel Takeovers and event accommodations for groups, celebrations, weddings, retreats, and other special events.
 

Full-property rentals and events are subject to separate agreements and terms. Your event or property rental agreement will specify the applicable payment, cancellation, occupancy, and other policies.

SMOKING

Ruff Resort at Victoria House is a non-smoking property.
 

Smoking is not permitted inside guest accommodations or anywhere prohibited on the property. Guests who smoke indoors may be charged a cleaning fee.
 

If you need to smoke, please leave the property and follow all applicable local regulations.
 

QUIET HOURS

Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
 

Please be considerate of other guests and our neighbors during quiet hours. Excessive noise, parties, or disruptive behavior are not permitted.
 

Unregistered guests are not permitted without prior approval.
 

PETS & SERVICE ANIMALS

Dogs and cats are welcome at Ruff Resort at Victoria House. We love our four-legged guests and are happy to welcome them to the Ruff life. Pet-friendly accommodations and any applicable pet fees or requirements will be outlined during the booking process.
 

Guests are responsible for the care and behavior of their pets throughout their stay and must ensure that pets are respectful of other guests, staff, and the property.

Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable laws and are not considered pets under this policy.
 

CANINE CONCIERGE

Looking for a four-legged companion of a different kind? Our Canine Concierge program gives guests the opportunity to spend time with a Ruff Start STX foster dog during their stay. Your own pet doesn't have to miss out—the Canine Concierge program is simply an optional experience for guests who would like to meet one of the rescue's available foster dogs.
 

HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping services and frequency may vary. Please refer to your reservation information or contact the resort if you have questions about housekeeping during your stay.
 

ACCESSIBILITY

Ruff Resort at Victoria House is a small historic property with varying room layouts and accessibility features. Because of the property's historic construction, not all areas or accommodations may be accessible to all guests.
 

Please review our Accessibility Statement and contact us before booking if you have specific accessibility needs. We're happy to discuss the layout and features of individual accommodations to help you select the best option for your stay.
 

PARKING

Ruff Resort at Victoria House does not have dedicated onsite parking. Free public parking is available near the property, including along Strand Street and surrounding streets.
 

Please observe all posted parking restrictions and be respectful of local residents and businesses.
 

MISSING OR DAMAGED ITEMS

Guests may be responsible for the cost of replacing or repairing items that are missing or damaged during their stay beyond normal wear and tear. Charges may be applied to the payment method on file.
 

LOST & FOUND

Ruff Resort at Victoria House is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal belongings.
 

If an item is found after your departure, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you. Items can be returned at the guest's expense.
 

Unclaimed items may be donated, discarded, or otherwise disposed of after a reasonable holding period.
 

WEATHER & TRAVEL DISRUPTIONS

Ruff Resort at Victoria House cannot be responsible for flight cancellations, travel delays, inclement weather, or other circumstances outside of our control that prevent or delay your arrival.
 

Because travel to the Caribbean can be affected by weather and other unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
