Ruff Resort at Victoria House blends historic Caribbean charm with relaxed island comfort. Uniquely situated on the waterfront in the heart of downtown Frederiksted on St. Croix’s beautiful West Coast, our historic 22,000-square-foot property puts you just steps from the beach, local restaurants, bars, cafés, shops, and some of the island’s best sunsets.

With nine individually appointed accommodations, Ruff Resort offers a more intimate stay with plenty of room to relax. Choose from one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, each thoughtfully designed to give you the comforts of home while surrounding you with the character and charm of historic Victoria House. Accommodations feature one or two bathrooms, making the resort a comfortable choice for couples, families, friends, and longer island stays.

The Chaney
Chaney was built where the original carriage house existed on property. This first floor suite enters into a living area with a queen-sized sleeper sofa allowing for more sleeping options, high top table with chairs, and a stone mounted flat screen TV. The kitchenette boasts a full-sized fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and coffee maker. Walk from the living area/kitchenette thru the historic archway into separate bedroom with a private bathroom and large walk-in shower. AC's in both the living area and the bedroom. Wi-Fi included. Outside the unit is a tranquil area with a hammock, bistro style table and chairs. Sit in the shade under a palm tree while soaking up the Caribbean warmth.

The Rainforest
This 2nd floor studio style room has a Queen-sized bed, microwave, minifridge, coffee maker, TV, Wi-Fi, AC, and a private bathroom with large walk-in shower. A queen- sized sleeper sofa adds more sleeping options to the room. The unit shares an outdoor seating area overlooking Victoria House’s beautiful garden/courtyard. One of Frederiksted's largest Avocado Trees grows right outside your room, feel free to grab one when in season! This room can also be adjoined with the Starfish to create a three-bedroom suite.

The Turtle
This spacious 3rd floor unit has great views of the Caribbean Sea and the sunsets that the West End is known for. A shared gallery deck with outdoor seating, indoor/outdoor living has never seemed more comfortable. Inside the room you will find a king-sized bed, minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, large bathroom with a walk-in shower, AC, TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fan. A queen- sized sleeper sofa adds more sleeping options to the room. This room also can be adjoined with The Mermaid and/or The Palm Tree to create either a two bedroom or three-bedroom waterfront suite!

The Sunset Suite
This two bedroom one bathroom suite is one of our largest. From the front door, imagine partial ocean views and great breezes cooling off your suite while taking in a beautiful sunset. This suite also boasts a full kitchen, with everything you will need to make a delicious meal for up to 4 people as well as a coffee maker for early risers. It also has a TV, WiFi, AC units in each bedroom, full sized couch, arm chair, ceiling fans, private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and traditional style dutch shutters. Steps away from our front gate, this is a very convenient option for anyone looking to stroll around town or have two couples enjoy a comfortable room in a prime location.

The Starfish
Picturesque is one way to describe Starfish. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite with a private entrance in front of our building, the Starfish is a great stay for couples or families to enjoy the Caribbean while feeling right at home. The private porch includes a bistro table and chairs, plus a love seat that begs for guests to drink coffee (or rum!) while looking into the deep blues of the sea or watching the sunset enjoying another day in paradise. Inside the suite is a separate living room, TV,Wi-Fi, minifridge, coffee maker, microwave, ceiling fans / AC in both bedrooms, and two large bathrooms with walk-in showers. Starfish can connect to either and or both Rainforest and Moko Jumbie Rooms, to create a three- or four-bedroom stay...possibly having the entire second floor of our hotel to yourselves!

The Palm Tree
This top floor unit boasts the option of having either two twin beds or having them combined to make a king-sized bed. The first option makes it perfect for two single travelers to enjoy the same space without having to sacrifice a good night’s sleep. Or with the ability to combine with our Turtle Room, it offers the perfect combination for a small group or a family. With views of the Rainforest and Frederiksted Town, guests in the Palm Tree are the first to enjoy our Caribbean breezes and as well as the beauty of our sunrises. In room amenities include a microwave, minifridge, coffee maker AC, TV, Wi-Fi, Ceiling fan and a breezy bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Moko Jumbie
This majestic 2nd floor large one bedroom unit has a king-sized bed, love seat, microwave, minifridge, coffee maker, TV, Wi-Fi, & AC. It also has a private bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. Outside the room is a great relaxing shared area with a love seat and chair, overlooking a gazebo and one of the largest Avocado trees on the West End. If you need to relax between dives or read a book! This room can also be adjoined with the Starfish to create a 3-bedroom suite.

The Mermaid
This marvelous 3rd floor unit makes guests feel like they are in the clouds. With views of the Caribbean Sea, amazing sunsets, Frederiksted town and the hills behind, you won’t want to leave. The Pier, famous for its snorkeling and diving, is steps away, tempting you to enjoy its vast ecosystem. Mermaid's amenities include a king-sized bed, minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, AC, TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, and a wrap-around gallery deck with outdoor seating for west, south, and east views. A queen- sized sleeper sofa adds more sleeping options to the room. This room can also be adjoined to The Turtle to create one of the best two-bedroom suites on the West End.

The Coral Reef
Our newest addition at Victoria House, The Coral Reef, is a ground floor room built in historic stables. With Coral stone walls exposed, you can appreciate the engineering of the past while enjoying the comforts of a modernized space. This studio comes with a queen sized bed, pull out sleeper sofa, flat screen smart TV, bedside USB ports, AC, Wi-Fi, full sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, kitchen utensils, and an outdoor patio and bistro table to enjoy your morning coffee. We’ve added ambient lighting so you can feel like you’re swimming in the Caribbean sea even while you’re relaxing inside!
